21st Ward Illuminated

It was a hot time in the 21st ward on November 3, 2015 when we did the 44th TIF town meeting for the 21st ward. We met at the Greater Walters AME Zion Church at 8400 S. Damen. The sponsor was the North Beverly Civic Association. About 50 people attended.

What was remarkable was the presence of former Cook County Board President Todd Stroger who witnessed the presentation and the arrival of Alderman Howard Brookins who came in time for the Q&A. Both Mr. Stroger and Alderman Brookins offered forceful and passionate defense of Chicago’s TIF program. “It’s not perfect, but it’s the only thing we have for development of African-American communities,” said the alderman.

Download the presentation from the TIF Data Store for $5.00. Remember, our work has been TURNED DOWN by national and local foundations TEN times.

Very interesting. Thanks for all your help.
I live outside of Springfield in Sherman and was wondering where I can get TIF agreements where my city files with the state of Illinois
